This is Primarily front end JavaScript/Angular Development. A significant part of this role will be revising the UI for a very old existing App. 

Needs to have strong coding and design experience.

3-5 most important technical skills:

Javascript, Angular, Node, UI design / best practices, ability to work with users for feedback and the backend developers for integration.

Qualifications: The following are key skills / experience for this position in order of priority.  Resumes that do not possess all, or at least most, of these skills should not be presented for consideration.

• Ability to work and communicate effectively in a team.  The contractor will be interacting with other developers within the AIG, as well as end users to iterate on UI design.
• Significant experience designing, developing, testing, and maintaining responsive UIs with AngularJS; CSS; RESTful design; Websockets; Concurrent and Asynchronous programming.
• UI design experience,  If possible with standard Industry adopted UI design tools.
• ·Ability to separate UI vs Backend and be able to define/use API requirements
• Significant full software life cycle experience including a near fanatical obsession with proper software engineering practices: source code control, testing (unit, integration, etc), internal and external documentation, etc..
• Flexibility in dealing with assignments and working on several projects simultaneously.

 The Following Skills is Plus :

• Python development experience.  The backend development is done in Python.
• DevOps / Systems administration experience.
• Experience in High Performance Computing (HPC) / Cluster Computing.

EDUCATION REQUIRED:

• College degree in Computer science, MIS, Information Science, or other technical discipline or equivalent work experience required
• Advanced experience programming for Java Application systems
• Project Management experience
• Minimum of 3 years programming experience with Oracle tools: SQL, Java, Spring, Angular, PL/SQL, forms, OA Framework, etc.

 Relevant experience in java/J2EE development and design

·         Acquainted with Popular design patterns primarily with framework like struts, Spring, EJB in a transaction heavy application

·         Hands-on/Understanding with UI technologies and design patters (MVP), GWT preferred

·         Must have experience in developing Web Services in SOAP and REST.

·         Good experience in Oracle SQL and PL/SQL programming

·         Understanding on Clustered distributed system

·         Understanding on Single Sign-on, Security concepts like keystore, 2-way SSL, HSM, network security is beneficial

·         Good knowledge on Infrastructure and Cloud would be beneficial

Preferred to have knowledge on Jasper or any other reporting generating tool

Reads computer printouts or observes display screen to detect syntax or logic errors during program test, or uses diagnostic software to detect errors.Replaces, deletes, or modifies codes to correct errors.

·    Analyzes, reviews and alters program to increase operating efficiency or adapt to new requirements.Writes documentation to describe program development, logic, coding, and corrections. Writes manual for users to describe installation and operating procedures.

·    Assists users to solve operating problems. Recreates steps taken by user to locate source of problem and rewrites program to correct errors. 

 

Required Skills:

- Experience programming in SQL and/or Transact-SQL

- Experience unit testing and performing peer reviews of developed code to insure conformity to standards and design best practices.
